People really don’t keep ticket stubs anymore. Maybe for things like the Super Bowl, because a commemorative version is probably provided given the cost, but for the most part tickets are now electronic, or they’re nothing but a plain piece of paper you printed at home with the right bar code. Even those are considered dinosaurs in our digital age.
And that’s too bad, because ticket stubs make for great memorabilia. I’ve got the stub from the only World Series game I’ve attended (so far), and one from the first ballgame I took my son to. Framed ticket stubs are staples of man caves across the country because they hold meaning, and memories. It’s the reason why I placed a stub from a game at Fenway into my father’s coat pocket just before they buried him
They are also pretty common to find in antique stores, like this little three-stub cluster I ran across a few days ago.
