It’s been 30 years since a strike by the Major League Baseball Players Association resulted in the cancellation of the World Series. We just passed that sad anniversary this week, and the occasion was marked by a few people on Twitter and elsewhere. A couple of examples:
I chose those examples because they both focus on what was lost, one lamenting the fate of the 1994 Expos and another looking more at the loss of individual statistics of White Sox players. Both are valuable to consider, in my view, because both have had lasting consequences.
