Usually, current players aren’t my focus. The history of baseball is more interesting to me, and is forgotten too quickly, in my view, so that’s what I usually like to write about.
But sometimes gifts just fall into your lap. Sometimes all the boxes are ticked, and you simply have to nod to the Gods and recognize what has been put before you. In this case, a guy named Tyler was the one ticking all the boxes.
Unfairly denigrated a great player? Check.
In fact, denigrated two of them? Check.
Referenced the Hall of Fame? Check.
Used Twitter to do it? Check.
