For context for those who missed Friday’s post…
“Over on BlueSky, I was scrolling through the latest and greatest news from the NFL playoffs, wild fire recovery efforts, weather calamities, dog photos, and so forth when I came across a trending topic called #BookChallenge. It was described as follows:
“Choose 20 books that have stayed with you or influenced you. One book per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations, no reviews, just covers.”
Being a bibliophile, I decided to play along, but with a twist. Starting today, I’ll post a baseball book that fits the description for me. Since the rule is “no explanations, no reviews, just covers,” that’s what I’ll do. If you all want to discuss or post your own in the comments, have at it. Al of these will be unlocked so everyone can participate.”
Next, Our Team: The Epic Story of Four Men and the World Series That Changed Baseball, by Luke Epplin.
I love this book. I read it in a single sitting, kicking back on my porch on a warm, early summer day with a ballgame on in the background. It was perfect, and the book is outstanding.
I ❤️ this book (and team) too!
