Archives: Two Pitchers

Just a reminder that I’m on vacation, so I’ll be re-running some editions from the archives. Back to new content starting tomorrow.

It was two years ago today that I published the edition linked below. It’s one of my first “let’s look at these two players but not tell you who they are right away” editions, something I’ve always found fun to write. I find that it removes everyone’s preconceived notions to look at the performances without names attached. The format of this one is a bit messy, but I think the point remains a valid one about the historical failings of baseball writers to do their homework when voting for season-ending awards.
