Today we’ll finish off the newcomer’s to this year’s Hall of Fame ballot by looking at the five players I think have solid cases for eventually being inducted. To be clear, that doesn’t mean I think they’re going to be elected this year. In fact, I don’t think a couple of them will ever be elected. But all of them have good cases, and would be worthwhile inductees if that ever happens for them. Okay, here are the five players I think have a good argument to be elected.
Félix Hernández
Right. On. The. Line.
That’s where I think Hernández’s Hall of Fame case is. It wouldn’t be a travesty if Félix Hernández made the Hall of Fame, and it wouldn’t be a travesty if he never did. He could go either way and it would make sense and be perfectly acceptable. But I don’t think it’s going to matter, because I expect him to be pretty soundly rejected by voters.
